And he's off!

Yeah! Noah started crawling over the weekend! It amazes me how it never seems to be gradual when he does something new. It just seems to happen one day! Now I really have to keep an extra eye on him because he's wanting to go EVERYWHERE! He's already tried to get up the first step to our stairs.

8 Months

Noah, you are eight months old today! You are learning and exploring new things every day. Here's what you've been up to:

• You won't go to the doctor until next month, but you weigh about 21 lbs. You are getting very heavy to hold!
• You are still in a size 3 diaper and are wearing mostly 9 month clothing.
• You are still eating very well. You don't seem to like most GREEN veggies, but you will eat them - it just takes a little longer. Ha! You LOVE apples, bananas, and sweet potatoes.
• You switched over to formula almost 2 months ago and are still doing very well with it. 
• You love to drink water from a cup! You won't drink it from one of your bottles, but we will hold the cup up to your mouth for you and you get so excited. You usually try to hold it yourself.
• You now have 2 teeth and I think you are working on some more. You chew on everything and drool constantly!
• You are almost crawling. I can tell you want to so badly! You can usually get onto all fours, but then aren't sure what to do after that and just drop to your belly. Sometimes you are able to get back up.
• You are scooting backwards on your belly and roll all over the place!
• If I sit you in your crib, you can pull up to a standing position. 
• You say mama and baba and make all sorts of other sounds. It's so much fun listening to you talk!
• You just started waving. You don't necessarily wave hello or good-bye, mostly you just wave whenever you feel like it.
• You still love bath time, especially right before when Mommy is getting you undressed. It's like you know what's coming and you squirm with excitement! I think it might be my favorite time of day. You are almost getting too big for your baby tub but you still have fun splashing around. You do NOT like it when we take you out.
• You are really starting to enjoy story time just before bed. 
• You still wake up 1-2 times a night but will usually go right back to sleep after a bottle.
• You love to watch The Backyardigans. Sometimes you giggle when watching it and it is so cute!
• You love to play with your toys. It's so fun to watch you.
• You get so happy when you see Lola or one of the cats. Your face just lights up!
• You can instantly recognize Mommy and Daddy and it just melts my heart when you reach for me because you know I am your Mommy!

I can't believe that in just a few short months you will be 1 year old! We love you so much!

Dallas Zoo

We visited the Dallas Zoo after church on Sunday. The weather was gorgeous - too good NOT to be outside!

It's Noah's first Valentine's Day and he wouldn't smile for the camera at all today! 

You can't tell by this picture, but I swear, he was in a really good mood today!

Not Quite Wordless Wednesday

It's been awhile since my last post, mostly because there's not too much going on these days. Last week, we had a pretty big (for us) snow/ice storm and were trapped in the house for 4 days before the ice melted on the roads. Today we are trapped once again inside because of snow and ice. Luckily, it's not nearly as bad as last week was!

So, since we can't go out, we've been playing a lot inside and staying in our pj's!

Fun at the Park

The weather this past weekend was great so we decided to take Noah to a local park near our house. On Saturday, Daddy was working, so it was just me and Noah (and about 1,000 other kids) that went. The playground was so crowded, so we just hung out in the grass, played with some toys and watched all the big kids play.

On Sunday, we all went together after church. It was a little chilly but we still had fun! Noah had a good time swinging and going down the slide!

What a Beautiful Day!

It was so nice outside today, we decided to go on a walk in our new wagon! It's the first time we've seen the sun in days!

I made sure Noah had plenty of toys to play with, but you can see what the "toy" of choice has been today. Ha!
